The most common sleeping problems I have seen come from the focusing on some unresolved issue in the life of the person with the complaint. The cycle of less sleep and more worry perpetuate the problem.
Suggested ways to resolve the sleeping problem:
Seek out a solution to the unresolved issue and resolve the issue. The 'sleeping' problem will go away with the release of the unresolved issue.
